Welcome to my website.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jim Blake and I am a 35
years old Internet geek. I currently work for Merrill Lynch / Bank of
America and spend my off hours watching my two little boys (Connor and
Logan) grow up before my eyes.
I used to spend a lot of time tweaking with my webservers that I've had
since the begining of the .com age but my focus has greatly shifted to
my family ....but at least I have a place to post all the pictures!
I publish all my ponderings and resources that I find useful here. I think
the greatest thing about the Internet is the ability to easily share information
...and so I share as much information with the world as I can. If you
find anything on this site that is of interests to you please drop me
a line and share a little about yourself too.

New Job
I have recently changed positions at work and I now officially work in the technology organization (but still on the business side). This past week I finally had a chance to meet my new team in New Jersey, which I was pretty excited about. I’ve had many meetings over the phone with the new team, but it was nice to meet everybody and finally put faces to names. There was a welcome lunch and a welcome dinner and many, many meetings to get in front of as many people as possible during the short week I was back east. Then, the week ended with the wedding of my friend Jen, which also took place in New Jersey (though I was in no way scheduling my work trip around the wedding to cut costs).

There has been a lot going on with the new baby, my new job (same company ..just a shiny new position), selling the house and buying a new house (to fit the growing family).
